The Australian Maritime Museum is one of the Biggest attractions in Circular Quay. They have an Indoor and outdoor exhibit. For the outdoor exhibit it showcases the different ships and submarines used in battle and in expeditions.
We got a sneak peak of what it looks inside a legit trading ship. I only see this on hollywood films actually but when i was inside the vessels. I could imagine how life was for those who stayed in the ships and work. Especially that of the battle ship. I would'nt be surprised if a lot of them died in there because as explained by our tour guide. There is a huge number of men working inside that little space in the ship. While the Trading vessel on the other hand was quite spacious compared to the battleship. The headroom is very low! you really do need to bend down!
I also got to feel like a lady captain for the day! on the battle ship our tour guide gave me the captains hat marking my authority. Well for a short while only,I did also had the chance to be in the Captains lounge where its all spacious and classy. Oh the life captains have when their men suffer from the heat when they are all compressed while working on the little dark spaces they have.
The Australia Maritime Museum also have an indoor exhibit that showcases different stories. Yet my favorite is thatof the titanic. Titanic is not only one of the classic love story on television but also a real life tragedy as the great ship sank. In the exhibit they showed the costumes used in the titanic movie and also those items that are recovered from the real ship. They even had tickets of the old white star line used years ago.
There is so much to see in the Australia Maritime Museum and whats in this post is just a glimpse of all the wonderful things and experiences it has to offer. I suggest dont miss the Australian MaritimeMuseum if you will Visit Sydney's Circular Quay.
