Whats New in Jitaku

Its been a while since i blogged about things due to a really hectic schedule. There are already a lot of pending stories that i want to share with you. Heres the first, a review of my favorite japanese restaurant near my house. It was if im not mistaken 3 sundays ago that i ate here. I wanted to try something new so i asked for the Chef specialties. So heres what I got.
For my appetizer its Spicy Salmon Salad. Since i was not a fan of spicy food i asked them to lessen the spicy taste of this. It turned out to be really good.I like how the natural oils of fresh salmon slices mixed well with the dressing.  I am a fan of Salmon and i give a two thumbs up for this one.
For the Main Dish I got their Jumbo Ebi Furai. Its a little bit different with your classic Tempura. First its a bigger prawn and it has this taste in its batter that makes it all better. I dont know how they did this but ill definitely reccomend this dish.

Last but not the least is this NEW DISH! They gave me the priviledge to get a taste of their soon to Launch Uni Sashimi. Im not sure when its gonna be in their Menus but im definitely excited for this. Its Sea Urchin Topped in Japanese Rice then all wrapped in Nori. Its not everyday that I eat Sea Urchin and honestly i got weirded out when they said sea urchin dish. Exotic it is but turns out to be really yummy. Something exotic yet affordable that you have to watch out for in Jitaku!

Expect the Unexpected

Today is black saturday and all i know was we were just gonna go to the spa nearby then after which we willl be heading home.I was hungry i was craving for buttered corn and mom told me well eat somewhere. So forgive me with my "sabog" look i didnt really expect we were going somewhere else. Well now lesson learned Always in every minute expect and be prepared for the unexpected. Anyway here is what we ended up doing. Eating again in one of our favorite japanese restaurants here in our village.
Got myself Salmon Salad & Philly Roll. For a salmon and seafood lover like me i do reccomend you to order Salmon Salad for your appetizer. The blending of the taste of fresh salmon and the dressing works really well. For the Philly roll well i think thats why its called philly because of the cheese. but you dont see this everyday in your ordinary japanese restaurants its better than california maki.
I also got to meet Chef Karl Musico the one who cooks all those delicous dishes ive been posting and writing about the past weeks. He owns the place and also personally cooks the dishes upon your order so you are ensured of the quality taste. Why i love jitaku? well first it is japanese and i love japanese food second and i always say this. the affordable price of their dishes didnt affect the quality taste of their dishes. ITS WORTH KILLING MY DIET! Well This is how i usually think, if im gonna eat something thats gonna result to a diet kill, i make sure its worth it and it aint ordinary. Though i order seafood most of the time here i order too much actually.

Another impromptu is meeting with Tita Mercy & her sister. It was really unplanned and we just told them that we were eating out in the place so they followed. After having our meal we were invited to tita mercy's home for snacks. She made Biko Pinipig
The reason why it is color green is because of the pinipig that she placed.

Sunday Night Jitaku

I love japanese food and recently theres this new place in our village that serves japanese food in real authentic taste and it is also affordable.
Started my meal with a hot bowl of my favorite Miso Soup and had their Salmon Salad for my Appetizer. Something unique i saw in the menu that i havent seen yet in some japanese restaurants that ive eaten.
Whats nice about this Salmon Salad well its supposed to be Spicy Salmon Salad but then requested it to not be spicy. I like how the oils from the salmon blend well with the dressing. I also like how the crunchy things feels good to chew along with the shredded cabbage. I got two thumbs up for this dish.
I also had Squid Teppanyaki  I do love seafood and i rarely eat squid aside from adobong pusit and calamares. This dish is one of the best squid dishes i tasted so far i dunno how teppanyaki works but the flavor of this dish is rich. It just aint ordinary.

Also had Ni Tendon. Its bowl of rice topped with battered shrimp and vegetables. Also topped with egg and some sauce thats very flavorful it matches well with the egg.
Last but not the least is this what they call the Crazy Maki. I dont know how they do it but i do only know one thing its gonna drive you crazy. For me who is not a fan of spicy food i still like this dish. The spice kicks in slowly and develops as you chew it. Not joking it does!

I do recommend you to try this restaurant so many great choices that comes in a good price. Jitaku is located in Cottonwood street if im not mistaken
