Around AU in 58 Days: Kuruanda, Cairns

Flew in to Cairns after a few days in perth. Cairns is a tropical state so even if its winter season its still humid. For a few days it was major climate change for us because we were coming from a cold state. Our first adventure was Kuruanda. Kuruanda is a place to go if you wanna get close to nature, It is a tropical rainforest up in the mountains. In Kuruanda there is this little village where they sell all native items.from stones jewels to kangaroo fur.

Everything in the bazaar is native so ,in the photo above the stuff behind me is like a musical instrument the aboriginals use. Aboriginal is what they call their natives.
Kangaroo FUR
Hmmm FUR!! What to choose?
In the local fair they also have all sorts of merchandise made of kangaroo fur. As kangaroos arent really endangered but rather overpopulated they have only the aboriginals permited to kill and hunt them. There are a lot of aboriginals in kuruanda and the kangaroo fur merchandise are made by the aboriginals.

As I said kuruanda is a tropical rainforest so our next stop was the Lookout of Barron Falls. You have to walk a short trail to get to the lookout. good thing it was day time when we get there because it would really be creepy to walk in the jungle at night. It was a short walk close to nature. I wasnt able to bring my long lense but i attempted to get a shot of the falls. The short walk to the lookout was worth it though i wasnt able to get to the lower level closer to the falls because it was really a long walk.

On the way home there was a really nice view of the city so we pulled over that side of the highway so we could take a photo of the good view of the city. Plus the strong winds its such a relaxing view.
As for What I wore: Leopard Printed top from Cotton On, Peach skirt from Forever21, Feather necklace from Bedazzle Accesories, Slippers from Payless Shoes, White Blazer from Mom. Its still cold even if it was a tropical state i still like this kind of weather.

Whats ur travel story? Tell me All about it
